Subject Description

Teacher in Charge:

10COM – Optional – full year (2 periods a week) 

This course prepares the students to undertake Computing as a senior subject.  It starts them to learn in-depth about programming, electronics and various types of digital media.



Subject Overview

Term 1
Focuses on key skills in Print Design and Publishing and Programming.
In Term 1, students work on developing a proposal that addresses a given problem.

Term 2
Focuses on project management.
Students will complete a project following the Senior Computing procedures.

Term 3
Focuses on key skills in Digital Media (Animation, Image Manipulation, Web Design and Print Design) and Programming.
During Term 3, students work on developing design concepts that address a given problem.

Term 4
Focuses on project management.
In Term 4, students will complete a project following the Senior Computing procedures.

Term 1
Time allocation: Semester based – two hours per week for two terms. Students may take one semester

Term 2
Time allocation: Semester based – two hours per week for two terms. Students may take one semester
