Subject Description

Teacher in Charge: Mrs C. Coulthard.

Living in the 21st century, we have and will continue to see dramatic advances in technology, creativity and communication within Media.

Narrative is created in many ways to fit the purpose of the text and the representation that is trying to be portrayed. At Level 2 Media, we will consider how narrative is created in media texts and what messages are being suggested through the manner in which different groups of people are represented. The class will head out on location to design, plan and create their own film trailers.

Concluding the year by considering the relationship between media products and their audiences for the final exam.
