Subject Description
Year 11 Mathematics will provide JPII students with a broad base of core topics to enable them to obtain their "Numeracy" requirements for NCEA Level 1 and University Entrance.

Students explore mathematical problems that relate to life in Aotearoa New Zealand or the Pacific . This is a mathematics internal for 5 credits. Students use, number, measurement, geometry, trigonometry and Algebra skills to solve problems related to real life situations.
Week 8 Assessment
Week 9-10 AS 91944 (1.1)
This is a statistics internal for 5 credits.
Students develop Statistics and probability skills, using the statistics inquiry cycle and probability skills to interpret information in a wide variety of practical situations by conducting statistical studies and probability concepts.
This course is designed to give students a wide range of skills to interpret data and statistical information.

AS 1.2 AS 91945
This is a mathematics internal for 5 credits. This standard explore mathematical problems that relate to life in Aotearoa New Zealand or the Pacific. The topics involved are Number, Measurement, Geometry , Trigonometry and Algebra.
Week 8 Assessment
AS 1.1 AS 91944 Week 9-10
This is a statistics internal for 5 credits. It consists of Bivariate, multivariate and probability concepts.
Within the learning of statistics, students will plan the collection of data, exploring data, selecting appropriate graphs, displays, and summary statistics.

Week 5-10
AS 91946 . This is an external exam for 5 credits. It is statistics standard assessed externally. It consists of Methods of collecting data analysis of data using Bivariate, multivariate, Time Series other types of graphs and probability concepts.
