Subject Description

It is only through understanding the past that we can understand the present and plan for a better future!
Level 2 topics and studies aim to improve skills in gathering and classifying information, weighing evidence, recognising bias and propaganda, recognising differing points of view and different historical interpretations.
Subject Overview
Term 1
Inquiring into an historical place / event that is significant to New Zealand and write a comprehensive report on your findings.
Term 2
Interpreting different perspectives of people in an historical event to understand their beliefs.
Term 3
Preparing for the external, looking at cause and effect.
Term 4
Revision and touch ups.

Assessment Information
Assessment will comprise of internal assessment held periodically through the year, and an external examination held in Term 4.Credit Information
You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
